FREDERICK CIRCLE of MUSICAL UNITY

The Global Z Recording Project has launched an incredibly exciting project titled the ‘Frederick Circle of Musical Unity’ (FCoMU).

The Global Z Recording Project is partnering with the educational arm of world-renowned Abbey Road Studios, the Abbey Road Institute (ARI) in support of FCoMU. This educational, collaborative project is designed to bring together Frederick County-based student composers, musicians and audio engineers with student producers and audio engineers from ARI, London, England. Participants will experience collaborating in a hybrid project environment while recording an original composition using commercial-quality audio production equipment and cutting-edge remote recording technologies.

Three recent graduates from Frederick’s Academy for the Fine Arts (AFA) Music program have been selected to serve as Frederick’s audio engineers, while three students from ARI will serve in dual capacity as audio engineers/producers. A song has been selected to record for the project, composed by two AFA students.
