A COMMUNITY-BUILDING MUSIC PERFORMANCE EVENT FOR FREDERICK, MD!
The Global Z Recording Project is excited to host a fun musical performance event for all ages! The Frederick community is invited to sing/perform 12 songs at the Carroll Creek Amphitheater on Sunday, May 25th, 7:00pm!
EVENT OVERVIEW
Carroll Creek Unplugged is a community-building, educational, musical performance event. It also serves as the annual fund-raising event for Global Z. While participation is free, we humbly request a donation from those who are in a position to donate. We are also giving away one month of free music lessons provided by the Sloan School of Music to all pre-registrants. Anyone who likes to sing or play a stringed acoustic instrument is invited to join us (registration required) – this will no doubt be a lot of fun!
EVENT DETAILS & FAQ
- WHEN – May 25, 7:00pm
- WHERE – Carroll Creek Park Amphitheater, Frederick, MD (between South Market Street and South Carroll Street) – the amphitheater has natural stone/earth seating available but you may bring a portable chair if you wish
- HOW – The Milk Mountain Band will lead participants through the performance of 12 popular songs
- Registrants will be provided with song chord charts and lyrics well in advance to allow participants time to practice the songs before the event
- During the event, the chord charts and lyrics will be projected by laser projector onto a 135″ projector screen so participants may follow along as we perform the songs!
- WHO – IT DOESN’T MATTER HOW TALENTED YOU ARE! Anyone of any age who likes to sing or play an acoustic stringed instrument is welcome to JOIN IN THE FUN ! (participants under the age of 14 are required to be accompanied by an adult)
- COST – The event is free, however, as this is our annual fundraiser, we request donations from those who are in a position to donate
- REQUIREMENTS – All participants must register online via Zeffy in advance and agree to the conditions of participation (please see more details on the Zeffy registration site)
- There will be a performance area reserved solely for performers
- Friends of the performers and the public are welcome and encouraged to be part of the community experience and enjoy the event from the sides and back of the performance area, as well as from across the creek adjacent to the library!
